Welcome to Morris Museum Astronomical Society

50th Anniversary logo

We are an enthusiastic group of individuals brought together by a common passion. Have a look at what we’ve got coming up, and if you’re interested in joining our astronomy club simply get in touch today.

The Morris Museum Astronomical Society started out in 1972 with just a few people coming together to do what they love.  Little did we know that it would grow into Morris County, New Jersey's oldest and most active astronomy club. We are proudly to be celebrated our 50th year in 2022!

Our dedicated members enjoy meeting for different events and activities. Passion and enthusiasm go hand-in-hand with our hobby.

Our door is always open to new members, no matter their experience level. We are proud to bring together people from all over Morris County and beyond. Come join us at our next event — We hold regular celestial and solar observing sessions for our members and provide outreach observing to schools and civic organizations throughout northern New Jersey.

The MMAS is proud to be a founding member of the United Astronomy Clubs of NJ.
