Sept Membership Meeting

A program to show how the sky map looked like in the era of 2500BC when the ancient Egyptian people under Pharaoh to construct pyramids.  Religion and immortality play a very important role for pyramids. I will discuss why and how the pyramids were constructed by the people, at that time with limited knowledge in astronomy, to line up the true north when the Polaris was well off the celestial north pole. I will also briefly introduce and demonstrate an anytime, anywhere App on sky map (Sun, Moon, planets and some constellations including zodiacs) I have developed recently for use on cell-phones by anyone.
